Reggie Jackson a native of Los Angeles; discovered his passion for music and dance at the age of 7 years old, when he choreographed his first routine. While in high school, an inner city mentoring program called “Colors United” visited his school and allowed students to take part in workshops to help develop their talent in acting, music and dance. He received dance training from award winning choreographers Rosero Macoe and Jamal Simms. After working with these choreographers Reggie decided to pursue his interest in dance by joining a local dance group called “Expectations” performing on television, talent shows and eventually became the lead choreographer. Reggie’s influence in dance performance comes from the likes of Fred Astaire, Jean Kelly and famous hip hop choreographers Richard Whitebear aka Swoop and Fatima Robinson. Reggie received Jazz training from renowned Choreographer Regina Williams and would attend hip hop workshops instructed by Renee King. Reggie then went on to join the dance troop “Culture Shock” sponsored by Nike. He continued to follow his dreams of being a professional dancer booking two World Tours with the pop sensations the “Backstreet Boys” and has worked in entertainment as a professional Choreographer and Dancer ever since. Reggie Jackson has been seen working with some of the industries hottest artist like Aaliyah, P. Diddy, Will Smith, Lil Kim, Britany Spears, JC Chasez; in music videos and shows like Dancing with the Stars, MTV Music Awards, American Music Awards, Kids Choice Awards, BET Awards and Soul Train. Reggie has been seen dancing on Nickoleon and can be seen in many films like Dreams Girls, Hair Spray, Norbit, Fat Albert, Disney’s the Country Bears and most recently Hanna Montana. Commercials he has been featured include Gap, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, JC Penny, MasterCard and Visa. Some of the Hip Hop Choreographer’s he’s worked with are Jamie King, Omar Lopez, Rosero and Jamal, Fatima Robinson, Laurean Gipson, Hi Hat, Michael Rooney, Dave Scott, Talauega Brothers, Wade Robinson, and many more. Reggie Jackson has choreographed for American Idol Promo, the Movie “Show Stoppers”, Music Group 702, Reebok Industrial, TV Shows for Miss Fitness, various artists performing on Soultrain and assisted with choreography for Lil Kim. He has taught at some of the top dance studios in Los Angeles, Dance Arts Academy, Millennium Dance Complex, The Edge, Madonna Grimes and the famous Lula Washington dance company. Today in his Spare time he volunteers at recreational parks teaching dance to the young children and teens helping to them to compete in dance during national cheerleading competitions where his routines took first place 5 years consecutively.
