Hasmik Amirian-Bennet
Ballet

Hasmik Amirian-Bennet was accepted into the Armenian Ballet at the age of 7 and trained by Anaida Ter-Gabrielian, Feya Balabina, Ludimilla Sacharova, and Maxim Marturosian. At 18 joined the Armenian National Opera Ballet Theatre, working with Irina Yshakova and Elena Araratova and promoted to Soloist. She toured Europe and the U.S. dancing principal roles in Spartacus, Gayane, Snow White, Shopeniana, Don Quixote, and Masquerade. Hasmik then joined the Los Angeles Classical Ballet as a soloist, as well as performing for the Kalinin Dance Company, Marla Bingham Contemporary Ballet, and the Nima Kiann Ballet company. Hasmik is married with one son and in 2007 she was appointed Assistant Director of the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet.
